About the university

Busan University of Foreign Studies (BUFS) was founded in 1981 and is one of the leading private universities in southern Korea for foreign languages and international studies. Its main campus is located in the Geumjeong district of Busan.

At the bachelor's level, programs such as Business Administration, Global Business, Information Technology, Korean Studies, and Global Studies are taught in English, while Korean Language and Literature is taught in Korean. At the master's level, contemporary programs are available, including Global Area and Language Studies and AI-driven marketing.

Classes are typically held two days a week, giving students extra time to work or study independently. In the first year, all students complete a shared Foundation program, then specialize in a specific major from the second year onward.
