About the university
Namseoul University is a private university located in Cheonan, South Korea. The institution was founded in 1994 as Nam Seoul Industrial University and renamed to its current name in 1998.
The university opened with nine departments: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Communication, Industrial Design, Business Administration, Marketing, English, and Japanese. Over the following eight years, seven more academic departments were added; the first graduation ceremony was held on February 20, 1998.
Starting in 2016, the university began offering master's programs taught in English, and in 2017 a separate Namseoul University International Graduate School was established.
